Jennifer Hudson gave a meaningful wedding present to a superfan and her fiancée.
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud did a Q&A with her live studio audience where Alicia Reed from Baltimore, Maryland, asked her how she takes in all of her accomplishments.
“I don’t take anything lightly,” JHud answered.
Jennifer then flipped the table and surprised Alicia by asking her to be her next guest!

View StoryAn emotional Alicia — who wore purple, as it’s Jenn’s favorite color — told JHud that she has been a fan of hers since age 10 and wrote a letter to the show about how much she loves her.
“You have gotten me through so many hard times in my life,” Alicia said. “Just your spirit, you’re the most beautiful person inside and out. You just give me hope and you make me want to follow my dreams and put the work in.”
In addition to seeing Jenn on Broadway when she was 19, Alicia went to a recent concert of Jennifer's in San Diego, where they met and took a selfie.
When JHud asked her if there’s anything she wished she said in the moment, Alicia responded, “I just want to say thank you.”
“People don’t know what other people are going through,” Alicia added. “I’ve been through a lot, but your spirit and your outlook on life has brought me through everything I’ve been through since I was 10 years old. I just want to say thank you.”
Alicia also mentioned that she attended the show with her fiancée, Ariel, and said the two don’t have wedding plans.
“I know girls plan their wedding with their mom, but she’s not a part of my life,” Alicia said.
