Shangela Thanks JHud for ‘Every Dollar Every Drag Queen Made’ Singing Her Songs

On behalf of drag queens everywhere, Shangela is giving Jennifer Hudson her flowers.
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud sat down with the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum, who recently made history as the first drag queen to compete on “Dancing with the Stars.”
During their chat, the two shared a sweet moment when they began singing — as Shangela knows Jennifer’s “entire discography.”
Shangela noted that several drag queens, one of those being Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté, lip-synch her songs at shows — and receive lots of tips doing so.
“Thank you for the $1, $5, every dollar every drag queen has made,” Shangela exclaimed.

“When you hit the note [singing] ‘Deliver!’” Shangela sang, to which Jennifer replied, “You like that? You live for that?”
In the interview, Jennifer asked Shangela if performing on “Dancing with the Stars” with partner Gleb Savchenko is difficult.

View StoryWhile Shangela has performed all over the world and routinely dances in her shows, she told Jennifer that she has never been formally trained, nor has she ever been in a ballroom setting.
Despite this, Shangela is “not afraid” and wants to “represent my community” on the dancing competition show.
