Watch JHud Riff Like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson & Fantasia!

Jennifer Hudson believes that every famous singer has a go-to run!
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud shared what she has observed about many big musicians.
“I’ve noticed that in the music forum, we all have a signature riff,” she told her live studio audience. “You ever notice when you listen to your favorite artist?”
Jennifer says the same is true in her own music.
“I don’t care what record it is. I’m going to give you a ‘whoa, whoa, whoa!’” she said.
Jennifer also did a brilliant impression of Mariah Carey’s riff in her 1990 song “Vision of Love” and of fellow “American Idol”contestant Fantasia Barrino.

“Fantasia, please don’t kill me. Fantasia [sings], ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah!’ Jennifer said about the Season 3 winner, who she recently spoke about with guest Randy Jackson.
“[Fantasia] always says, ‘Jennifer, I don’t sing like that.’ I’ll be like, ‘Fantasia, that’s your signature.’”
Jennifer — whose dream interviewee, dead or alive, is Whitney Houston — gave the audience a sample of the singer’s famous “Shoo!” and of the King of Pop Michael Jackson’s very distinctive riff.
“We all know Michael Jackson’s. Anybody? ‘HEE-HEE!’” she sang. “We all got a signature!”

Similar to how singers have their own signature riff, Jenn recently got a note that she says “wow” a lot on her daytime talk show.
Jennifer explained that she uses the word in different ways as “everything has its own subtext.”
“Sometimes it’s a ‘wow’ like, ‘WOW! That’s amazing!’ she said, adding, “Per the situation, it varies.”
Jennifer also says “wow” when she has no idea what people are talking about.
“It happens a lot with the producers. ‘Wow, I don’t know what’s going on.’ Sometimes I can’t figure it out,” she laughed.
Not all “wows” are created equal!
