Joel McHale & Shangela Give ‘Community’ Fans a Mini Reunion Backstage at ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

“Community” star Joel McHale and Shangela are giving the sitcom’s fans the reunion they never expected!
The comedy actor and the “Dancing With the Stars” contestant both appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on Monday.
The same day, “DC’s Stargirl” actor Joel posted a hilarious video on Instagram in which he and the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum performed “Pocket Full of Hawthornes,” a song featured in the “Community” Season 3 episode “Advanced Gay.”
In the episode, Shangela portrayed drag queen Urbana Champaign, who advertises Hawthorne Wipes.

“I wish @michellevisage was with us so I could scream ‘YEEAAAAAAH,’” Joel wrote in the caption, referencing his guest appearance on Season 11 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” where he sat on the panel next to regular judge Michelle Visage.
“Watch the Jennifer Hudson Show everyone. #pocketfullofhawthornes #shangela#communitymovie,” he added, giving a nod to the recently announced “Community” movie.

When asked how he felt when he was paired with Shangela for the dancing competition, Gleb said, “It felt great.”
