Joel McHale Jokes He Has a 'Death Wish' After Filming Commercial on a Cliff

Comedian Joel McHale’s experience filming a commercial in the Rocky Mountains was no laughing matter.
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the “DC’s Stargirl” actor stopped by and told Jennifer Hudson about a project he filmed for Certified Angus Beef, a nonprofit brand which says its aim is to help U.S. farm and ranch families source the best Angus beef.
All Joel had to do was enjoy a lavish steak dinner… on the side of a cliff!
“I have a death wish. I’m an old man. I stay alive by doing things that could get you killed,” the “Community” alum joked about the once-in-a-lifetime dining experience.
Joined by Ty Walter, a fifth-generation Colorado Angus rancher, Joel said he was given simple instructions.
“Make sure you wear a helmet and don’t jump too far back,” he recalled.
Though Joel admits he was “terrified like a dog,” the delicious meal was “worth it to almost die.”

View Story“I can’t believe the marketing department agreed,” he added about the venture.
But when Joel asked Jennifer if she would have done such a stunt, she exclaimed, “Absolutely not!”
“Jennifer is not climbing on the side of no mountain,” the daytime TV host added.
During their chat, Jenn also brought up an episode from last month where Leslie Jordan, who worked with Joel on “The Masked Singer,” said he had a crush on him.

View Story“[Joel is] 9 feet tall,” Leslie told Jennifer. “He just rendered me mute. I have such a crush.”
In response, Joel initially joked, “Leslie and I dated for two years… In college, it was wild.”
But then he said, “I didn’t know that. I’m flattered.”
