Though music runs in her family — with her mother being a music teacher — Connie admitted she was terrified to sing on the TV show “Nashville,” in which she portrayed country music superstar Rayna James.
But being nervous didn’t stop her from belting out songs. Connie said she enjoys being afraid and always seeks out opportunities that challenge her.
On the flipside, Connie’s son Eyob is rather musical! The proud mother noted that her son loves to play piano and the drums and practices his talent simply because he enjoys it. Jennifer shared how her own son is shy when it comes to singing but loves to dance.
The parents came together as Connie raised awareness about children in need.
Donating just $1 to Feeding America, a 501(c)(3) organization, can help provide at least 10 meals to kids, families, and individuals facing hunger, Connie said.
September is Hunger Action Month. Even if you can’t give money, you can donate with your time as Feeding America — the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization — has a network of 200 food banks, 60,000 food pantries, and meal programs that provide care to every county in America.
