Jennifer Hudson starts off her day right!
Before she graces the stage of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud makes sure to eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast that will give her the energy she needs to entertain audiences.
“Egg whites, turkey sausage, maybe a little cheese,” she revealed in an interview with KCCI.
While Jenn enjoys a protein-packed meal to fuel her throughout the day, one dish she has not tried is breakfast pizza — comprising cheese or gravy instead of traditional marinara sauce, as well as eggs, sausage, and veggies on a crust.

View Story“That sounds good,” Jenn said about the delicacy, popular in Iowa. “So, it’s eggs, gravy, and cheese? Gotta write this down!”
Although Jenn says she’s never had breakfast foods with gravy, she is familiar with “walking tacos,” a dish that is also famous in the Midwest.
“That’s like butcher meat in the bag? Am I right? That’s a walking taco?” she said about the meal, which is basically taco ingredients in a bag of chips. “I just learned that. Like, how is the taco walking?”

View StorySpeaking of Midwest foods, Jenn also learned that at the Iowa State Fair, food vendors will put “anything on a stick,” such as “fried butter [or] fried Oreos!”
Jennifer also likes the idea of putting chocolate on a skewer. And there’s plenty more where that came from…
“What about bubble gum? ’Cause I like bubble gum,” Jenn said. “Y’all put popcorn on a stick? Let me think about that...”
