Harry Shum Jr. has only great things to say about his co-star Chandra Wilson after joining the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
On Friday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the “Glee” alum spoke to Jennifer about starring in the 19th season of the acclaimed medical drama.
On the ABC show, Harry plays new intern Benson Kwan, who he says is “ready to be [the] No. 1 [first-year resident]” despite his lack of social skills.
Noting that “Grey’s” is “such an iconic show,” Harry said that when he first arrived on set, he was greeted by Chandra, who has played Dr. Miranda Bailey since the first season.
“She has a strong presence,” Harry said. “She’s a mama bear. We’ve seen her over a period of time.”
