On Thursday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud shared how she was moved to reach out to Ronnette Williams, a fan who has been saving up to fly across the country and join the studio audience.
Ronnette served as a crossing guard for the New York Police Department but is currently out of work due to an injury.
“Dear Jennifer, you are someone I look up to,” Ronnette wrote in a personal message to Jennifer. “I remember going to see you in ‘Dreamgirls.’ I was going through a lot at the time but hearing you sing touched my soul. Your voice motivates me, and your songs have taught me to stand strong. So, I’m saving my money to fly to Los Angeles so I can come see your show. Love, Ronnette from Brooklyn, New York.”
Though Ronnette thought she was going to chat with a producer on Zoom, she instead spoke to Jennifer — and her live studio audience!
