Viola Davis Tells Jennifer Hudson the Secret to a Long-Lasting Marriage

Viola Davis is giving all thanks to the man above as she opens up to Jennifer Hudson about meeting her husband.
The star of “The Woman King” appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” (original air date September 16, 2022) and told the EGOT-winning talk show host about how she came to meet her spouse, who she married 19 years ago on June 23.
“Teach me,” Jennifer said to Viola when discussing her long-lasting union.
Viola told JHud that 23 years ago, she got down on her knees and prayed after a friend asked why she didn’t have a man. Thinking about what she wanted in a partner, Viola’s type on paper included:
- Southern/country
- Married with children
- A cute football player
- In the arts
Viola told Jennifer that she apparently spoke it into existence, as her relationship with former football player Julius Tennon manifested. “And the first thing he did… he invited me to church!”
