JHud Has a Great Idea For Jalyn Hall Once He Gets His Driver's License
October 19, 2022
Jalyn Hall’s mom is his number one supporter!
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the 15-year-old star — who received Oscar buzz for playing Emmett Till in the historical drama “Till” — told Jennifer Hudson that he wanted to be an actor since he was 4 years old.
“I used to watch Disney and I would light up. [I was] stuck to the screen,” he said.
When he was 7, the “All American” actor went to a showcase for an arts training camp and was absolutely mesmerized.
“I was on the edge of my seat,” he added.
Fortunately, Jalyn’s mom was extremely “supportive” of his pursuit and was even in the “Jennifer Hudson Show” audience for his interview!
Elsewhere in the chat, Jalyn shared that he is “ready” to get his driver’s license next year. However, he said he can only practice driving “when [he gets] a chance” due to his hectic schedule.
Jalyn gets creative when it comes to packing in driving practice! While filming a show in New Orleans, Jalyn got up early and drove down a street near the production’s base camp.
“I like driving. It’s freedom,” Jalyn said, to which JHud responded, “Now you can drive your mama around and do chores.”
In the new motion picture “Till,” Jalyn stars as Emmett Till — a 14-year-old boy who was lynched for allegedly whistling at a white woman. Jalyn shared the importance of the film during his sit-down with Jennifer.
“A lot of times, everyone thinks they know what happened. We don’t,” he said. “We only know a portion.”
