‘Cats’ Star Tayler Harris Has a Full Circle Moment with JHud

Once Grizabella, always Grizabella!
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,”Jennifer met Tayler Harris, who currently plays “Grizabella the Glamour Cat” in the North American tour of the Broadway musical “Cats.”
Years ago, JHud played the iconic character in the 2019 film adaptation.
In the show, Tayler wowed the audience with a performance of “Memories,” the song that Jenn sang in the movie.
“That was so beautiful,” Jenn said about Tayler’s stunning performance.

“It truly means the world, especially being the sixth Black woman in the almost 42-year history of ‘Cats’ to sing [“Memories”].”
In addition to playing the same character and singing the same song, Tayler revealed her connection to Jenn.
“Once upon a time, a year ago today, we were at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, and your photo was right down the hall from my dressing room,” Tayler recalled.
After grabbing her “tail,” Tayler took a snap of herself singing along with Jenn.

View Story“See? Nothing is just… It’s a full circle for you,” Jenn commented on the fateful nature of Tayler’s “Jennifer Hudson Show” appearance.
“It’s the universe,” Tayler added.
