JHud Rocks a Blazer as a Dress While Interviewing Kelly Rowland

Jennifer Hudson is rocking one of her favorite designers once again!
Jennifer’s wardrobe team knew her friend and fellow songstress Kelly Rowland — whom she met on the set of 2006’s “Dreamgirls” — was going to dress to impress for Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
So JHud wore a blazer from Romeo Hunte, a favorite Brooklyn-based Black designer.
While the Romeo Hunte boxy blue blazer originally came as a full two-piece suit, Jenn tried on the blazer and fell in love with it as a dress, according to stylist Verneccia “V” Étienne. They paired the blazer — which features double-breasted buttons and a wide lapel — with Falke tights and Black Suede Studio boots.
Jennifer is a huge fan of Romeo, who has created pieces that have been worn by Hailey Bieber, former First Lady Michelle Obama, and Laverne Cox.

View StoryIt comes after Jennifer wore his burgundy suit for her 40thbirthday celebration at her Madame Tussauds wax sculpture reveal. Then she and Romeo coincidentally crossed paths last month when she co-hosted “Good Day New York.”
During Monday’s episode, Kelly discussed her new movie, “The Curse of Bridge Hollow,” in which she and Marlon Wayans portray a couple who move their family into a new town that’s haunted.
“I love the bond between Marlon’s character and his daughter,” Kelly said about the story. “It’s the sweetest thing, just getting to know each other as a family.”
Jennifer also worked with Marlon in the 2021 Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect,” in which the two shared some steamy scenes.
“You made out with him!” Kelly exclaimed.
“I did! He’s one of my favorite film husbands,” Jenn added. “It’s a blast to work with him. He cares about everyone on set.”
