Hasan Minhaj has some “Confessions” for Jennifer Hudson!
On Thursday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud asked “The King’s Jester” star how he got into stand-up comedy.
The comedian shared how he discovered he was funny when he “got extra points” during speech and debate competitions in high school.
When an image of a teenage Hasan wearing glasses and an oversized gray blazer flashed across the screen, he told the audience, “I thought I was Indian Usher.”

“I think so,” Jenn replied to Hasan. “I love the debate.”
During their interview, Hasan — who has a son and a daughter with wife Beena Patel — also revealed his parenting style.

Specifically, when a Scholastic Book Fair comes to his daughter’s school, Hasan jokingly shared how he makes sure to “flex” on all the other parents.
“‘Hey kids, how much do your parents love you? Some of you will get books, others will get rulers.’”
