New Bachelor Zach Shallcross Reveals What He’s Looking for in a Wife and His Message to Rachel

The new Bachelor is opening up about what he’s looking for in a partner, and Jennifer Hudson is here for it!

On Friday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud sat down with Zach Shallcross, who was recently revealed to be the Bachelor for Season 27.

During the interview, Jennifer asked the “Bachelorette” Season 19 contestant the one question on everyone’s mind: What is he looking for in a wife?

In response, he said, “Someone who is kind and compassionate.”

Jennifer also brought up the drama between himself and his ex, Rachel Recchia, the co-Bachelorette who famously said on the show that she thought he was too young to get married. (Rachel is only 4 months older than Zach, who was 25 when the show was filmed.)

When JHud asked him if he had a message for Rachel, he responded, “I was 25 at the time. What I have to say is I’m 26.”

Though the 26-year-old is “excited” to embark on this journey, he faces a huge obstacle: remembering all of the women’s names!

At the “After the Final Rose” special — where he was announced as the next “Bachelor” — Zach said he had trouble remembering the names of the contestants he met. In fact, he said he was 0 for 5!

Despite this, Zach is committed to doing a better job, and plans on drinking lots of caffeine during those ridiculously long rose ceremonies. Zach told Jennifer they can last through the night until 8 a.m.!
