Yvonne Orji’s Orange Blazer Dress Will Brighten Up Your Day: ‘Givin’ Badd B O’Clock’

The “Insecure” star stunned in a monochromatic look styled by Apuje Kalu during premiere week of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

The actress and comedian wore an orange Marcell Von Berlin blazer dress adorned with fun feathers along with matching Flor de Maria strap heels.

The funny lady accessorized her fabulous fit with Natalie Mills earrings and a Sterling Forever ring. She also got glammed up by hairstylist Reign Mari and makeup artist Juanice Reed.

Yvonne posted pics of her elegant ensemble on Instagram, adding the Lizzo-inspired caption, “It’s givin: BADD B O’clock!!”

“Congrats @iamjhud on the BRAND NEW @jenniferhudsonshow!!” she continued. “Catch me on there today promoting my 2nd @hbo Comedy Special #aWholeMe, premiering October 1st, and streaming on @hbomax.”

Not to be outdone, Jennifer was also stylin’ in a Saint Laurent houndstooth sweater, a Commando faux leather skirt, a Good American bodysuit, and Sam Edelman heels — courtesy of stylists Layla Witmer and Verneccia “V” Étienne.

While the Saint Laurent cardigan is sold in stores as mid-thigh, V Jenniferized it by cropping it to be mid-waist and will use the remaining fabric to create a matching skirt. Resourceful AND remarkable!

During the episode, Yvonne totally cracked Jennifer up when she revealed that she hosted funerals — as well as weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs — in between acting gigs.

“All I know is my checks cleared, Jennifer,” Yvonne said about the unorthodox gig, which allowed her to practice mic skills.
