Jennifer Hudson puts her own spin on a wardrobe staple while interviewing the hilarious Yvonne Orji.
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud kept it cute in a cropped Saint Laurent houndstooth wool-blend cardigan worn over a Commando faux-leather skirt, Good American bodysuit, and black Sam Edelman ankle boots.
While the fuchsia and black cardigan is sold in stores as hip-length, Jenn’s stylist Verneccia “V” Etienne “Jenniferized” it by cropping it to be mid-waist and will use the remaining fabric to make a matching skirt. Talk about a 2-for-1!
Jennifer also accessorized her look with two gold chain necklaces that read “Respect” and “17.” “Respect” is the critically acclaimed 2021 film in which Jenn portrays iconic singer Aretha Franklin, while “17” refers to Jenn being the 17th person to win an EGOT: an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
In the episode, Jenn had a blast interviewing Emmy-nominated actress and comedian Yvonne Orji, who discussed the joys of solo travel and how her parents attended the taping of her upcoming HBO special, “Yvonne Orji: A Whole Me.” JHud also asked Yvonne revealing questions, including what scares her and what gets her in trouble. Y’all must hear her responses!
