Jennifer Surprises 15-Year-Old Who Raised Over $15,000 to Eliminate School Lunch Debt

Jennifer Hudson meets DeJuan “DJ” Strickland, a 15-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, who made headlines for raising over $15,000 to eliminate school lunch debt for students at his former elementary school. DJ shares that he launched his initiative, Team Tech Boy Lunch Heroes, after experiencing food insecurity in his youth, and he’s also committed to helping provide healthy lunches to students. Because of his generous efforts to support kids’ health, Jennifer surprises DJ with an additional $5,000 from PLEZi Nutrition, as well as a year’s supply of PLEZi!
