JHud’s Dress Was Long and Flowy Before Her Stylist Injected Some ‘Extra Flavor’

Leave it to Jennifer Hudson to add “a little extra something” to her lovely look!
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” JHud looked fierce and fabulous in a Sammy B Designs dress, a Zara blazer, Falke tights, and Black Suede Studio boots.
According to stylist Verneccia “V” Étienne, Jenn wanted to “have a little extra flavor” with her outfit because she was interviewing fellow Chicagoan Chance the Rapper.
While the Sammy B Designs dress was originally long and flowy, V Jennifer-ized it by contouring it and shortening the hem.
However, Jennifer’s stylist didn’t shorten the hem all the way around —she left a bit of extra length in the hem on the back. V explained that leaving some length on the dress gave it “a little extra something to make it look even more special.”

View StorySpeaking of “extra flavor,” Jennifer attempted to get Chance to try her “singer chips.”
Earlier this month when Jenn interviewed global K-pop sensations NCT 127, she told our wonderful Talent Booker Paige that rappers — such as Lil Baby and Snoop Dogg — shouldn’t be the only artists to have their own flavor of chips.
“Where’s the singer chips? Where’s the Patti LaBelle chip? Or the Ariana Grande chip?” Jenn asked.
“Where’s your chip, Jennifer?” Paige said in response.
That’s when Jenn took matters into her own hands and created the EGOT flavor, comprised of mustard, hot sauce, all-purpose seasoning, Splenda, and lime juice.
But when Jenn presented Chance with her unique creation, he was a bit apprehensive.
“I don’t know about the mustard. I don’t know about the [all-purpose seasoning],” he said.
“If I let Chance taste it, he might not come back to the house,” Jenn joked.
