Why Viola Davis and Jennifer Hudson Aren’t Helping Their Kids with Homework
Lifestyle September 16, 2022
Viola Davis has no desire to go back to school, at least when it comes to algebra. The actress admitted she refuses to come to the rescue when her daughter Genesis asks for help with homework.
“My brain cells died years ago!” she joked to Jennifer on the show. The “Woman King” actress instead prefers to enlist the help of a tutor for her daughter, who she says is in “the eye-rolling phase” now that she’s a teenager.
JHud can relate… The “Jennifer Hudson Show” host shared that when her 13-year-old son David asks for help with homework, he doesn’t always get a straight answer.
Elsewhere in their chat, the women discussed their children name-dropping their famous parents to gain VIP access at events involving the likes of Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.
Viola said that her daughter even came home from camp with a list of people who wanted jobs with the family.
The actress delved into life as a mother after telling JHud and the studio audience how she came to meet her husband Julius William Tennon 23 years ago. The pair have been married for 19 years, and he came into her life just weeks after she prayed for a man who already had children.
Viola completed a star-studded lineup for premiere week, following the likes of Simon Cowell, Hannah Waddingham, Magic Johnson and Mickey Guyton.
“The Jennifer Hudson Show” airs weekdays. Here’s when to watch in your area.
