Meet the Viral Kindergarten Teacher Who Greets Every Student with Love

Sponsored by Eyemart Express | Kindergarten teacher Loren Mulmore captured hearts online after the sweet way she greets her students every morning went viral.

Loren teaches at Brusly Elementary, a Title I school in Louisiana, and considers her students her own children. Despite having student loans herself, she regularly spends her own money on food, clothes, shoes, hygiene supplies, and anything else her students may need.

Her dedication is inspired by her late son, Eric, who passed away from congenital heart disease at just 18 months old. Loren says she sees a little bit of Eric in every child she teaches and strives to give them the same love and care she would have wanted for her son.

Eric also inspired Loren to return to college after financial struggles forced her to leave school. She eventually graduated from Southern University and became the teacher she is today.

After hearing Loren’s inspiring story, Eyemart Express surprised her on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” with $10,000 to celebrate the incredible difference she makes in her students’ lives!

Loren’s surprise gift also included a collection of glasses from Eyemart Express! It was a well-deserved moment for a teacher who has dedicated herself to making sure every child who walks into her classroom knows they are seen, supported, and loved.
