Happy Saturday! I had such a fabulous time in New York this past week! Laughing with Stephen Colbert on his show, attending the Warner Bros. TV event, and, of course, continuing to celebrate my Wallybean’s birthday.
I also was so honored to accept the Excellence in Media Award at the GLAAD Media Awards. “The Jennifer Hudson Show” also won Outstanding Variety or Talk Show Episode for our show with activist Ian Haddock about his nonprofit, which aims to assist and empower Black, queer-identifying people.
I am so proud of the show and all my producers, and we are all so honored to be recognized. Like I said in my acceptance speech, using my voice goes beyond singing — I will do my part to share stories and celebrate people from all walks of life.
Next week is gonna be fun, y’all. I’ll be catching up with television legend Shonda Rhimes, rap icon Fat Joe, and the lovely leading lady Diane Lane. Plus, Ernie Hudson returns — if you’ve seen him and his muscles lately, you know I’m gonna be asking about it.
