This past week, I had the honor and privilege of performing at the White House for a concert celebration of Juneteenth! It was a night of Black excellence, for sure! My friends Ledisi, Audra McDonald, and Colman Domingo were there, too, and it was great to catch up with Vice President Kamala Harris again after I last saw her on my show!
The best part of my trip to D.C. was being able to share the moment with my son, David, and all his cousins — aka “Camp David”! I brought all the boys to the White House, and I know they’ll never forget it!
Have a wonderful weekend, a celebratory Juneteenth, and a Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there, too!
