It’s been another amazing week at the JHud show! I’m so grateful for all the incredible, inspiring people I get to spend time with each and every day. I especially appreciated speaking with Christopher LeMark of Coffee, Hip-Hop & Mental Health, an organization in my hometown of Chicago that provides therapy to those who wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I hope you’re finding time for self-care and self-reflection!
May is also graduation season, and my own Little David, DOJ, will be graduating eighth grade this year! He’s going from middle school to high school, and I can’t believe it! I love a party, and I can’t wait to celebrate his big achievement.
As I shared on the show, during my own eighth-grade graduation, I was set to perform Bette Midler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings” during the ceremony, but I only got the first few lines out before bursting into tears! It was an emotional time, and I couldn’t help it! Maybe DOJ will let me redeem myself at his graduation party and let me sing the song all the way through?
For all those graduating this year, I want to wish YOU a big congrats. As you move forward through life, remember that even the smallest decisions can make a huge impact! Go out and make your family proud just like Little David makes me proud every day!
See you next week!
